Q: How do I pay for my Palm Springs Vacation home rental?
A: Vacation Palm Springs welcomes major credit cards as well as cashier's checks or money orders. Payment in full is required 30 days prior to your arrival. To reserve a home, a deposit of 50% of the amount is required if the reservation is made more than 30 days in advance. Upon request, plans in equal thirds are available for reservations that are made more than 6 months in advance.
A: Each Palm Springs home for vacation rental offers weekly, nightly or monthly rental rates posted on the individual web page for each house. In addition to rent for the time period, charges include: a one-time departure cleaning fee, pool heating if you select that option, and Palm Springs City Tax of 11.5% is required on all vacation rentals for less than a month. The lodging tax is identical to the tax that of Palm Springs hotels.
Q: What is the minimum rental time period?
A: A two night rental is required. Some Luxury homes and condos require a 3 night, 1 week or 1 month minimum. Certain holidays, holiday weekends and special events require minimum reservation periods ranging from 3 days to 1 week. A refundable security deposit ranging from $750-$1500 is required for each rental depending on the home and the length of the visit.
Q: How are your vacation homes supplied?
A: Each home is completely and tastefully furnished and supplied with linens, towels, soaps, cookware, utensils.
Q: What about commercial photography at your Palm Springs vacation homes?
A: Commercial photography of any kind, still, digital or video is not permitted at any home without advance express written permission. Filming of adult content movies or still photography is strictly prohbited.
Q: Where are your vacation home rentals located?
A: Our vacation homes are located in Palm Springs, CA, near downtown, shopping and dining. Palm Springs is an historic village with a small population of 44,000 and the geographic area covered by Palm Springs makes travel from end-to-end about 15 minutes in total. All of the Palm Springs attractions, downtown dining, theatres, shopping are are within 5-15 minutes from our Palm Springs California private vacation homes.
Q: Is there a minimum age required to rent a Palm Springs vacation home?
A: Yes, all adult guests must be 25 years or older to rent a private vacation home from Vacation Palm Springs. This policy is strictly enforced. Misrepresentation of age or occupancy will result in immediate forfeiture of occupancy and legal action.
Q: Do all homes have private pools?
A: The majority of our Palm Springs vacation homes feature both private pools and spas. Condos and townhouses have shared pools and spas and indicate this in the description of the home. A few of our private homes have pools, without a whirlpool spa. Each home's description provides the complete details.
Q: When are security deposits returned?
A: Security deposit refunds are returned to you promptly by mail in the form of a bank check - sent by US mail three weeks after your departure.
Q: Are the swimming pools and spas heated?
A: Yes, in fall & winter months you have the option to purchase pool heating for the homes. We highly recommend pool heating for the months of October through May. All homes are equipped with pool heaters. The fee for pool heating is $49 per day, $250 per week. For monthly rentals, guests pay actual gas and electric utilities rather than pool heating. Pool heating is available for all rentals, upon your request. We recommend pool heating in the months of October through May. We heat pools to a comfortable temperature of 87-88 degrees. The pool heaters are powered by natural gas which are extremely costly to operate.
Q: Do all homes have central air conditioning?
A: Yes.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: All reservations are subject to a cancellation fee based on the length of the reservation. Weekend: $250; Weekly: $500; Monthly: $750. For reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival, there are no refunds if the home is not re-rented for the reserved period. If the home is re-rented for the cancelled dates, all monies will be refunded less the above cancellation fee.
